Food Shelf Assistance

IOCP’s food shelf provides no-cost food and household essentials to stretch household budgets. Our grocery store-style environment welcomes guests with a variety of healthy and culturally-specific options, including fresh produce, gluten-free items, kid-friendly snacks, and a variety of meats, including halal options. How To Visit
  • Appointments required:
  • Visit as often as every other week.
  • Bring your picture ID.
  • For your first visit, bring one of the following as proof of address:
      • Utility bill from the last 30 days  
      • Piece of mail from Hennepin County including address within the last 30 days 
      • Lease – for the current year 


Food Assistance Resources
  • Nutrition for all  – Nutrition counseling with Lucy Berman, MPH, RD
  • Fare For All – low cost monthly food packages 1-800-582-4291
  • WIC – women, infants, and children food and nutrition program for pregnant or nursing mothers and children up to age 6. 612-348-6810 
  • NAPS – nutrition program for income eligible adults 60 years and older, 651-484-8241
  • SNAP – food support for financially eligible individuals and families, food support help line 1-888-711-1151
