YOUTH PROGRAM ACCESS

After-school enrichment and summer programs provide safe places for school-age children to explore and grow when they are not in school. After-school programs link kids with new experiences, caring adults, and skill-building opportunities that play an important role in their development.

IOCP provides access to community partner youth educational and enrichment programs at minimal or no cost.

HOW TO GET STARTED

  • School age children living in any of the nine affordable housing communities that are part of our Neighborhood Program can access year-round youth programs
    • For program information, contact James Kambiri jkambiri@iocp.org or 612-309-3133
    • Unsure if you live at a Neighborhood Program community? Call the IOCP front desk at 763-489-7500
  • All other families with children who live in our service area can apply for youth program scholarships by calling 763-489-7500 or emailing clientintake@iocp.org
    • Families must demonstrate need (eligible for the National School Lunch Program)
    • Families are encouraged to explore additional scholarship options that may also be available. Great Opportunities is able to make a greater impact when it supplements existing scholarship funds
    • Funds are paid directly to the program/vendor by each anchor partner, depending on the vendor
    • Up to $300 ($450 for Driver’s Ed) in funds per school year (September-August) per child is available
