March 1 – April 8, 2016
The Interfaith Outreach Prevent Hunger campaign aligns with the annual Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign, a statewide effort that keeps food shelves stocked throughout the year. Over the years, we’ve discovered that financial and food gifts are a winning combination.
Our goal is to collect 100,000 lbs. of donations and $125,000 to fight — and prevent — hunger in our community. In order to best serve our families, any donations (pounds or dollars) through April 8 will count toward our goal!
We’re currently at 45,232 pounds of donations and $100,419. With one week left, we believe in the collective strength or our community to get us to our goal! Will you help?
Each year, supporters provide a critical and timely boost to keep our food shelf full of healthy and culturally appropriate food choices for 260 families every week. Beyond the food, though, are Interfaith Outreach’s core programs including case management and employment services funded in part by this campaign. These services work together to prevent hunger by addressing the immediate need for food as well as identifying the underlying challenges families face — such as lack of affordable housing, underemployment, transportation or lack of affordable child care. With all these parts in place, Interfaith Outreach families can begin to move toward stability.
We know we can’t do the important work of fighting and preventing hunger alone. Thanks for joining with us!
