Summer vacation is in full swing, but we wanted to recognize the dedication and good-will displayed by high school students across our service area during the last school year – and some exciting opportunities that lie ahead.
Wayzata Transitions
Throughout this past school year Wayzata Transitions students have been volunteering with Resale and Food Shelf once a week.
These volunteer roles provide crucial support to two of Interfaith’s most in-demand resources. They also help students gain confidence and build important life skills. We’re grateful for your partnership, Wayzata Transitions!
Orono Schools Family Service Night
Orono Schools in partnership with Orono Healthy Youth & the Orono PTO held a Community Wellness Expo this spring.
The event raised around $1,200 to support Interfaith Outreach. Student and community volunteers also packed beverage kits for our food shelf, which weighed in at about 143 pounds. Thank you, Orono Schools!
Special Opportunities
There are many more ways to get involved with Interfaith Outreach, but two especially exciting opportunities for high school or college students are our fall Community Engagement Internship and the Youth Philanthropist Award.
