It’s National Volunteer Week (April 17-23) and Interfaith is fortunate to have more than 1,000 active volunteers who gave more than 32,000 of service last year. From the food shelf donation doors to our employment services computer lab, volunteers help us live Interfaith’s mission to strengthen our community – by meeting basic needs and equipping individuals and families for ongoing stability.
Thank you to our Resale Select volunteers, who last year sorted 520,000 pounds of donated items, and served more than 17,000 hours to help keep the store open.
Thank you to our food shelf volunteers, who last year served nearly 8,000 hours to help 968 local families supplement their budgets with food and other household goods.
Thank you to our employment services volunteers, who last year logged more than 360 hours to provide job search support and foster digital literacy to local job seekers.
And thank you to the volunteers who help us with so many other efforts, events and programs throughout the year. We couldn’t do our important work without the generous gift of your time, energy and kindness. Happy National Volunteer Week!
