The large “Velkommen” sign on Mary Wrase’s door proudly proclaims her heritage and her hospitality. Samples of beautiful Norwegian embroidery grace her walls and reinforce her love of all things Norwegian. Meeting Mary, you sense her strength, focus and commitment.
Mary has made a financial contribution to Interfaith Outreach every month for the past 27 years, and her connection to Xcel Energy also provided matching gifts! Those steadfast donations have added up mightily over the years, contributing to the stability and success of so many of our neighbors.
In earlier years she shopped at Erickson’s supermarket, a community store and gathering spot where neighbors knew each other. She was happy when Interfaith Outreach took over the Plymouth building and established a new kind of community. Mary is impressed with the smart, efficient way the organization is run and fondly calls it “LaDonna and Company.” She respects LaDonna’s wisdom and vision.
Mary’s support also includes donating and shopping at Resale Select. She is proud of the lovely Danish teak dining set she purchased there. It’s not Norwegian, but Denmark is a good neighbor, like Mary.
