Jane is a hardworking single mom with two school-age kids. She has worked with Interfaith Outreach over the past few years to achieve housing stability, secure living wage employment, and overcome the struggles of chronic stress.
With our help and encouragement, she started and grew her own small business. Jane had not needed support from Interfaith Outreach since September, and was making life work for her family. In fact, in February, she shared the good news that she had grossed $2,500 in income and was able to meet her household expenses!
Then COVID-19 hit.
All of Jane’s clients were forced to cancel her services. Her commercial business clients closed their offices, and household clients hunkered down to risk exposure. Jane’s recent hard-won stability had taken her years to accomplish, and in a moment, it was gone. Thanks to the support of community members like you, Interfaith Outreach & Community Partners is here, as always, to help local families like Jane’s stabilize and strengthen in times of crisis – even unprecedented ones like this.
Thanks to a generous supporter, donors can DOUBLE THEIR DOLLARS. Gifts are matched up to $100,000 by Aqualia International Foundation, Ltd.
Financial support is still the best way to help folks like Jane. Financial gifts remain the best way to support Interfaith Outreach programs and services during the COVID pandemic. Donations allow Interfaith Outreach to provided support most flexibly, while reducing the number of hands that touch the food and goods distributed in the food shelf.
