Calling all gardeners: Those summer garden staples – tomatoes, okra, greens, rhubarb, onions, lettuce, cucumbers and carrots – are greatly needed and appreciated by guests of Interfaith’s food shelf.
This is a meaningful way to use the extra produce from your seasonal home garden, but growing an intentional “Giving Garden” can also be a fun project for kids or other groups. Assign a crop to each grade or class to plan, plant, weed, harvest and donate!
Produce should be cleaned prior to drop-off and be packed in bags or boxes. Garden donations – and any other food shelf or Resale Select donations – can be dropped off during our regular donation hours:
- Mondays 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
- Wednesdays 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
- Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.
As always, we thank you for your continued support and generosity!
