How to prepare your donation to Resale Select

Your new and like-new items are sold to support IOCP’s programs and services. Carefully select your best items for us, and choose quality over quantity. To determine the quality of what’s accepted, simply ask yourself, “Would I give this to my friend?” Avoid including broken items, trash, or items which are no longer functional. This saves valuable resources (e.g. volunteer time and disposal fees) in the sorting process.

how to prepare your donation: 

• Separate clothing from household items.
• All donations must be in a box or sturdy bag. (Paper grocery bags are preferred).
  • Please do not use plastic totes or lawn bags.
• No loose items accepted.
  • We have reusable bags you may use to repack your items on-site.
• Clean all items before donating. This ensures your donation can be put to good use right away!
• Clothing should be in clean, ready-to-wear condition
  • Fold all clothing neatly or lay flat into a box or sturdy bag (not on hangers).
• Label any higher end or designer items as either “authentic” or “replica.” We sell both and want to be sure we price them appropriately.
• Include all pieces/parts of an item.
• Toys must meet current safety standards.
• Request pre-approval (email resaleselect@iocp.org) for all furniture (including patio furniture) and large donations.

Donation hours are Mondays, Wednesdays & Fridays 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. and can be dropped off at the east side of our building at 1605 County Road 101 N Plymouth, MN 55447

Your food and household donations benefit IOCP’s mission to strengthen our community by meeting basic needs and equipping individuals and families for ongoing stability. We count on volunteers from our community to sort, process, and merchandise items for our Resale Select store and stock our Food Shelf.
