Get Involved Chalkboard with Heart

Finding ways to get involved in your community is often easy; finding time in your schedule isn’t always as simple.

The good news: Interfaith Outreach has compiled a list of ways you can make a difference – from the comfort of your own home, with family or friends, year-round. Connect with our Community Engagement team for a full list or read on for a few specific project ideas that address our community’s most urgent needs.

The kits below can be assembled on your own or with a group, and should be dropped off at Interfaith Outreach once assembled. All packs require specific contents; please inquire for details at getinvolved@iocp.org or 763-489-7505 before purchasing kit/pack items.

  • Cultural Staples Meal Packs
Kits filled with mealtime staples ensure our food shelf guests are always able to find shelves stocked with culturally-specific ingredients to enjoy.
  • Healthy Snack Packs
By providing Snack Packs, you are ensuring that many kids have an afternoon snack, and can stay focused on their academics and activities.
  • Beverage Packs
Beverages are always one of the most requested items in our food shelf. The kits help make sure we always have a great selection of items like water (carbonated or bottled) and juice on our shelves.
  • Hygiene Packs
Hygiene items are another item many families in our community struggle to pay for. You can help ensure our food shelf is always able to provide a welcoming selection of culturally appropriate hygiene items. Purchase full size items like shampoo, conditioner, body wash, etc. and pack them into gallon size bags.
