About the Food Shelf

Our food shelf re-opened in September 2021 as a SuperShelf, which is a collaborative effort with the University of Minnesota to focus on creating a welcoming environment for the community to access healthy foods at local food shelves. Customers are able to enjoy 1:1 volunteer interactions and a grocery-store-type shopping experience.

About Volunteering

Our food shelf volunteer duties include:

  • Sorting through incoming donations
  • Restocking inventory
  • Packing home deliveries
  • Assisting shoppers
  • Delivering groceries to customer homes
  • Picking up donations from local retailers
  • Other special projects as assigned
