Dear Friends,
I have learned to take nothing for granted over the last 15 months and to be more intentional about showing gratitude. I will never take for granted the ability to look at someone’s face without a mask, to hug and embrace without fear, and to travel freely.
Ralph Waldo Emerson said, “Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously…”
Ten things I am grateful for:
o I am grateful for this community
o I am grateful for Interfaith and the role it plays in building a vibrant community
o I am grateful for what COVID, the Pandemic, and the Racial unrest taught us
o I am grateful for our partners
o I am grateful for our schools (teachers, administration, coaches, support staff)
o I am grateful for the Interfaith staff
o I am grateful for our volunteers who made our Service Enterprise Certification possible (amazing)
o I am grateful for our donors
o I am grateful for our clients
o I am grateful for the community trusting us with its resources to do good
I’m also grateful for the work of Great Expectations (GE) and how this community supports all our students from cradle to career. Thank you for continuing to learn about the importance of GE.
I encourage you to write down ten things you are grateful for, and if it’s a person, tell them.
Your ED,
Kevin Ward
