As we experience the ongoing impacts of COVID-19 in our lives, on our loved ones and on our community, Interfaith Outreach continues to provide impactful programs and services, adapted to the needs of the day, just as we have done for the last 40+ years. Take a look at our 40th anniversary annual report with inspiring stories and statistics about how we do this. We thank you for learning and staying with us as we grow wiser and stronger together.
Parents are juggling the responsibilities of work, family life and their new roles as “schoolwork tech support” while serving as learning coaches for their kids. We are all facing heightened stress, anxiety and instability, remaining physically distanced when we need human connection more than ever.
We are here for each other. Our staff speaks of job seekers who are working diligently, staying focused on their goals despite the challenging conditions. Staff talk about parents who are advocating for the needs of their children. Not to mention teachers and administrators who are doing everything in their power to provide equal footing for all students in their care.
We see opportunity and connection growing as we welcome more clients (virtually and safely in person) each day. And, we see partners, donors and volunteers learning more about the complexity of needs and systemic barriers, while taking important steps to create a more equitable and just community for all. We know the months ahead will be challenging and unpredictable, but there is great strength, warmth and possibility in a community built on collective compassion.
We could not be more proud of the work we do together.
