Dear Friends,
We’ve all struggled to find hope at times. And, the families we meet every day at Interfaith have experienced struggles more than most: job loss, an impossible rental housing market, food insecurity, and challenges finding child care are just a few of the issues they face.
During these unprecedented times, your support has ensured Interfaith Outreach programs and services are stronger than ever. We are poised to continue to work with the 2,100 families, about 6,200 individuals, who connected with us last year for help – 45% of whom are kids under the age of 18. Working with us to strengthen, most are living on an annual household income of less than $26,200/year.
Your support for families and kids matters. As they bring their needs to us, they teach us. Together we become better, more efficient and nimbler to make positive change happen in our community. Here are just a few ways your support for Interfaith Outreach makes a difference.
- Cranberry Ridge workforce housing: Interfaith, in conjunction with Outreach Development Corporation and Wayzata Community Church, is a proud partner in Cranberry Ridge apartments, a Beacon development now under construction. This will add 45 two-, three- and four-bedroom affordable apartment units in west side of Plymouth in 2022. Interfaith is providing the on-site services.
- Element workforce housing: Interfaith, in conjunction with Outreach Development Corporation, is also building momentum for Element apartments, a Sand development which will add 61 one-, two- and three-bedroom units on the east side of Plymouth.
- Employment and child care: We now have 40 employment partners focused on helping our clients obtain stable employment that pays a livable wage. And, in order to work parents, need reliable child care which is expensive and challenging to find.
- Case Management: Realigned to better meet client needs by better utilizing case managers’ areas of experience and expertise.
- And so much more…
We can’t do this work alone. Your collaboration and partnership through the years helps us get laser focused on strengthening the entire community – it’s all about the community. Your community. Our community. Together.
Your ED,
Kevin Ward
